Tera Copy 64 Bit?

Just Wondering

Would you consider creating a 64 bit version on Teracopy? I run a 64 bit version of windows 10 and the current 32 bit version of teracopy has so many problems with windows 10 x64.

Duplicates 2
32 bit application issue

Teracopy has an unacceptable defect on 64 bit Windows OS: you can't copy/paste files in system32 folder because all are redirected to the SysWOW64 folder.

It's a problem of all 32 bit copy application.

Teracopy 64 bit is a must

Teracopy would perform better if run on x64 system as an x64 process.

The current Teracopy installs and runs as a 32-bit process, even on 64-bit systems.

Virtually nobody actually uses 32-bit Windows anymore, so I'd suggest that Teracopy be updated to run natively as a 64-bit process on 64-bit Windows systems. This will significantly improve performance.

On a side note, the lack of native 64-bit support is the reason why I continue to use the free version, and have not purchased the Pro Version.

"A developer that wants to provide a 64-bit version of their program has to do additional work. They have to make sure the existing code compiles and runs correctly as 64-bit software. They have to provide and support two separate versions of the program, as people running a 32-bit version of Windows can’t use the 64-bit version.

And in many apps, people just wouldn’t notice a difference anyway. The 32-bit program can run just fine on a 64-bit version of Windows, and there’d be no noticeable advantages with a 64-bit version."

Maybe you want to reconsider this as even Microsoft clearly stated that future versions of Windows will be x64 only.

2 years passed, Win 10 is x64 only now. Are there any plans to switch TeraCopy to x64 (only), yet?
